Review of Southsea Charters 4th Oct 2010
Having chartered a Rib and Yacht package for a day recently for our best customers, I felt I had to write a review about the whole day as it far exceeded our expectations.
Matt who runs the company and our skipper for the day has customer service absolutely nailed, and nothing was too much trouble. In the morning we were out on the Rib and it was exhilarating and thoroughly enjoyable. We went across to the Isle of Wight via a wiz around a super yacht that was harboured just off the coast, followed by a blast to Southampton to see some of the bigger water traffic. We then ventured to a lovely pub for lunch, mooring up outside (this really is a lifestyle to experience!).
After lunch we then travelled back to the Yacht Haven Marina in Lymington where we proceeded to transfer to the Fly Bridge Motor Yacht (wow!). I did not ask how much one of these cost to buy, but I would be surprised if there was any change from £1m - leather seats, luxury finish I had only ever seen on TV, a fridge full of Champagne, great host, what more would you want?
The afternoon was just pure luxury, relaxing and taking the passing day in, cruising to see the Needles and taking lots of photos. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we were never under any pressure to do anything and that included departure at the end of the day where we finished off the last of the Champagne and all of Matt's chocolate biscuits (including reserves!).
If only we could do this every week, I can't fault anything and have actually already re-booked for spring next year - this time with friends and family, they just have to experience what I did.
To summarise the day, relaxing, enjoyable and above all absolutely great fun. I am happy to supply a reference to anyone who wants it and would recommend Southsea Charters to anyone who is looking for this type of day out.

Solent Yacht Charter Review 19th Nov 2010
My family and myself spent a fantastic day on the Solent 2 weeks ago onboard a big flybridge yacht. The skipper knew all about the sights along the Solent and even let me and my son drive the boat for a while. We had lunch at a marina in Portsmouth and then came back to Lymington. Everything was just as promised and I am going to get a group from work together to do a rib boat day this summer.

Charter Rib Engine & Instruments Installed
Our first new Redbay Stormforce charter rib this gained it`s Suzuki DF300 leanburn petrol outboard engine. The new technology has been tested on a 8m commercial rib boat at cruising speeds of 25knts produced amazing low fuel consumption figures of 1 mile per litre of fuel.
The engineer standing next to the Suzuki engine gives an idea of scale.
We have specified extra steel work on the seating, console and A frame for extra passenger comfort and safety.
The Suzuki V6 engine produces 300 HP, 1 mile per litre consumption and 55knts.

Queen Elizabeth arrives in Southampton
The ship, built in Italy, will be officially named by the Queen on Monday and will leave on its maiden voyage to the Canary Islands on Tuesday.
Thousands of people turned out to catch a glimpse of the vessel as she sailed up the Southampton water & Solent earlier.
The vessel will join the other "Queens" in the Cunard fleet - the Queen Mary 2 (QM2) and the Queen Victoria.
Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) made its last transatlantic crossing in 2008.
Queen Elizabeth docked at the city's Ocean Terminal just before 0900 BST.
About 2500 people lined the length of Southampton's Town Quay and Mayflower Park taking pictures as its horn echoed along the Solent.
The BBC's Stephen Stafford, who was at the waterfront, said there was a "sense of pride and admiration" as the ship sailed into the world-famous port.
